Boiron was founded in 1932 by twin brothers and pharmacists Jean and Henri Boiron, both of whom became Physicians of Science in 1928 and earned diplomas in pharmacy in 1929. The men, who were looking for work after finishing school, accepted an offer from fellow pharmacist Rene Baudry, who at the time was involved with several homeopathic projects, to help him start a company. In 1932, the brothers founded the Central Homeopathic Laboratory of France in Paris. The brothers’ training in and knowledge of the natural sciences were bonuses that proved essential to the development and production of homeopathic medicines, which became their daily task.
